Toscana, "Villa nel Chianti" oil on wood 16"x20"

L u i g i   C o m i

Luigi Comi was born into a family of artists in 1963, in Caraffa di Catanzaro, a small village near the sea in Calabria, the southern most region of Italy. At the age of 18 he received his high school diploma from The Artistic High School of Catanzaro. He then moved to Florence to attend the University of Florence where he earned a degree in Architecture. Comi has worked in architecture through the years without ever abandoning his first artistic passion for painting. He has succeeded in integrating architectural elements in many of his paintings. Living in Tuscany and traveling for work and study throughout Italy has given him the opportunity to capture the beauty of his homeland in his artistic work.
